Need help using LaTeX & BibTeX Tools? You're in the right place.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Figure Organizer work?
Simply drag and drop your main `.tex` file into the app. It will parse your
`\includegraphics` commands, chronologically rename the associated files (e.g., `Figure1.pdf`,
`Figure2.jpg`), copy them to a new organized folder, and produce a new `.tex` file with the updated
image paths.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, absolutely. LaTeX & BibTeX Tools is built to run 100% locally on your Mac.
No data is ever uploaded or transmitted to any servers, ensuring your pre-published research remains
completely private.
What file types does it support?
The app supports standard LaTeX manuscript files (`.tex`) and bibliography files
(`.bib`, `.bbl`). It can process and rename common image formats used in LaTeX, including PDF, EPS,
PNG, and JPG.
Why did the app miss some of my figures?
Ensure your `\includegraphics` commands point to valid file extensions (or rely
on default extensions like `.pdf` or `.png` which the app attempts to resolve). If your figures are
stored in deeply nested subdirectories, make sure the paths in your `.tex` file correctly reflect
those locations relative to the main file.
